Article 7.06(3) - Installation of Inland AIS devices
Installation of Inland AIS devices by an approved firm for the vessels not subject to mandatory possession of an approved Inland AIS device
It is mandatory to use an approved installer to install an Inland AIS device, irrespective of the type of vessel. If a vessel which is not subject to mandatory possession of an Inland AIS device decides to fit an Inland AIS device, the installation of the Inland AIS device must be carried out by an approved firm.
