Question:
How is the notion of safe area to be interpreted in the case of catamarans?
Answer:
„safe area“: for catamarans, BWL should apply twice the greatest width at the waterline of the individual hull with the deepest draught. In the case of multihull vessels, the sum of the individual hulls shall be calculated.
