Question:
How is the anchor mass to be calculated for catamarans or multi-hull vessels?
Answer:
When calculating the anchor mass for multi-hull vessels, the sum of the widths at the waterline of the individual hulls can be used for the breadth B.
However, this does not apply for the purpose of determining when inspections are to be carried out (product LxBxT>100). In that case, one should take the breadth B of the total craft.
